Thousands of music lovers will be heading off across Europe this summer to visit some of the world's best festivals.

Whether you choose to spend an entire weekend or just go for the day, there is something for everyone!

Reading Festival, organised by Festival Rebublic, takes place every year in Richfield Avenue between August 21 and August 25, just off the River Thames. Festival goers from across the country travel by car, train and plane to join those wanting to watch both international and local musicians in the Berkshire town.

From the 444 music festivals across Europe, Reading Festival has come out on top as the 6th most popular, ahead of its sister festival in Leeds which is ranked tenth in Europe.

With over three million Google searches from across Europe since 2022, it ranks as the second most popular in the UK. Glastonbury out-ranked the Berkshire festival when it was named second most popular in Europe.

This study was conducted by travel expert and ferry operator DFDS. To create the rank, the company collected the total number of Google searches in each European country for 444 music festivals for key terms like {festival name} festival", "{festival name} tickets", and "tickets for {festival name}".

Tickets are still available for the 2024 Reading Festival and Leeds Festival.

Day tickets are available for £125 and tickets for the whole weekend start from £325.
