One member of the public was greeted with a particularly unusual sight whilst making his way into Reading train station.
Resident Barry Tang bumped into the Prince of Wales whilst they both went through the barriers at the central station during a morning commute.
According to Twitter, Prince William was today (June 11) visting Wales at Cardiff Metropolitan University to discuss investment in the sector and display products based on what Derek Walker, Future Generations Commissioner for Wales, dubbed the super-power of seaweed.
As part of his visit to Cardiff the prince chatted to Pierre Paslier, co-founder and co-chief executive officer of Notpla, which supplies seaweed packaging to major sporting and music venues across the country.
A member of staff at Reading Train Station has since confirmed that Prince William did pass through the station.
"We knew he was coming before he got here," they said. "His entourage comes before him and we're told to open the barriers."
The member of staff said that the station sees quite the number of royal visitors and recently had Prince Edward pass through.
