A man has been arrested after a number of people were shot at - apparently by slingshots fired from a white van.
Between 12pm and 1.30pm on June 25, a van was sighted in the Woodley and Earley area, with at least two people inside.
Small objects were fired at members of the public from inside the van - and the police believe that the vehicle's occupants used slingshots.
Multiple attacks were reported, including in Crackhamwell Road, Woodlands Avenue, Beechwood Avenue and Wokingham Road.
A 19-year-old from Surrey has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Detective Sergeant Johnathan Hare said: "We would like to reassure the public that we are taking these incidents extremely seriously.
"Our officers are continuing to investigate this series of incidents and we would like to appeal to any witnesses or victims to please come forward.
"We are also appealing to anyone who may have CCTV, dash-cam or doorbell footage.
