A 21-year-old man from Newbury has been arrested on suspicion of assault following an altercation between two men.

The incident occurred on Thursday, July 4 around 5:30 pm on Foxglove Way, Thatcham.

The victim, who was driving an orange Toyota Supra sustained injuries to the face and was hospitalised.

Police have stated that the offender arrived in a light blue Volkswagen.

Investigating Officer Detective Constable Beth Trafford, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or anyone with information about what happened, to please come forward.

“We are also asking anyone who may have dash-cam, CCTV or doorbell footage that could assist our enquiry to please come forward, and upload it via the portal.

The Newbury man was arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding with intent and has since been released on bail.
