1. Reading woman opens BKRY workshop in Caversham

A woman who has lived in Caversham all her life has recently embarked on an exciting new venture much to the delight of everyone in her neighbourhood. 

Jo Deacon, 37, decided to open up her very own bakery in Caversham which will also act as a workshop space.

Once the bakery is up and running it will situated at 47 Church Street, in between House of Cards and Superdrug.

2. M4 closures Berkshire: What to be aware of this week

Drivers are reminded to keep an eye on what M4 road closures are planned this week as work continues on the major highway. 

Last weekend June 28 to June 30 work was underway which saw several nigh closures take place, meaning that motorists with either delayed or had to re-plan their journeys.

3. This road in Reading set to close each day at peak times

A road in Reading is set to close each weekday at peak times to improve safety.

Permission has been given for Exbourne Road in Whitley to close between 8.20am and 9.05am and 2.50pm to 3.30pm from Monday to Friday.

The closure will be put in place to allow pupils and families to walk or cycle to the three schools in the road.

4. Major delays between London and Reading GWR and Elizabeth Line

Due to a points failure between London Paddington and Reading fewer trains are able to run on some lines.

Train services running to and from these stations will be cancelled or delayed.

Points failure occurred at Southhall West London meaning that there are limited trains between London and Reading and no Elizabeth line.

There are also reportedly major delays on the Heathrow line.
