Investigations into an explosion in Reading town centre are underway after police were called to the scene in the early hours of yesterday morning (18/7).
Thames Valley Police have apprehended a woman in connection with the incident on Kings Road, Reading.
The 41-year old suspect, who was arrested yesterday (July 18) on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life, has since been released on police bail until October 11.
Detective Inspector Jon Morley said: "We are continuing to investigate this incident and have made an arrest in connection with it.
"I know that incidents such as this cause a great deal of concern, but I would like to reassure the local community that we have made an arrest and we do believe this to have been an isolated incident."
Morley is urging anyone with more information about the incident to come forward by contacting the police department or Crimestoppers anonymously.
