A grass roots tennis club near Reading has recently won an incredibly prestigious award much to the delight of all its members.
Committee member Amanda Holland, 60, from Pangbourne said that Pangbourne Tennis Club had previously won the county club of the year so were automatically through to the national awards.
Adrian Chiles presented the chair of Pangbourne Tennis Club Richard Raynes and 'fundraising queen' Kim DeMarchi with the prestigious award.
After the ceremony the pair then went off to Wimbledon for the whole day and enjoyed VIP treatment with lots of perks.
"The lovely thing is we've grown even since put in for the award," Mrs Holland said. "We are now running disability tennis in conjunction with a local school for people with special needs.
"And we had a very successful open day recently. The club continues to grow an every week we get new members and it's just a joy to be a member."
