The site of the former Royal Oak in Paley Street is set to be rebranded as 'The Braywood' this autumn.
WSH Restaurants, the visionary team behind The Woodspeen in Newbury, have confirmed the official name of their newest venture and the appointment of acclaimed Head Chef, Sam Brennan, as culinary lead.
Currently under construction, 'The Braywood' is set to be a cutting-edge, architect-designed restaurant that reimagines the historic Royal Oak.
The redevelopment will preserve the building's historic core while adding a sleek, contemporary extension to house a stylish, 70-cover restaurant and destination cocktail bar.
Diners will be treated to views through large picture windows overlooking verdant, landscaped gardens, with ample terrace seating perfect for summer gatherings.
Slated for a November opening, the menus—set to be revealed in due course —promise a neoteric twist on the signature laid-back chic that has made The Woodspeen a beloved favourite.
Sam said: “We’re creating something truly extraordinary here.
“The contemporary space will beautifully complement our diverse, seasonal menu.
“It’s an incredible privilege to launch The Braywood, and I can’t wait to get into the kitchen and share the innovative dishes we’ve been crafting.”
