Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was violently assaulted outside Reading train station.
A 60-year-old man was assaulted outside Reading train station at about 8.45 pm on Saturday July 20.
The victim was taken to hospital where he remains at this time in a critical condition. Officers are in contact with his family.
Officers arrested a 26-year-old man from Reading on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm yesterday July 21.
On Saturday, officers arrested a 39-year-old man from Slough on suspicion of Section 18 – GBH with intent and a 20-year-old woman from Reading on suspicion of inflicting GBH. They have been released on police bail until October 13.
Detective Inspector Jon Morley, based at Reading police station, said: “Firstly, our thoughts are with the family of the man assaulted on Saturday evening during this extremely difficult time.
“I am appealing for any witnesses to this assault to please come forward.
“Any witnesses or anyone with information or any images or footage of the assault should call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43240345971.
