Police have released CCTV images of a man they think has ‘vital information’ about the rape of a woman in Ascot last month.
The woman, who is in her twenties, was walking on a footpath near Station Hill between 11pm and 11:30pm on Friday, June 21, when she was approached by a man who went on to rape her.
Thames Valley Police has confirmed that she is being supported by specially trained officers.
Senior investigating officer, Detective Inspector Liam Butler, described it as a “concerning incident” which is the subject of an ongoing investigation.
He said: “We are releasing images of a man who we believe may have information in connection with this incident.
“If this is you or you recognise the man, we would ask you to please get in touch.”
Reports can be made online or by calling 101 and quoting reference number 43240293544.
