A local music festival featuring a mix of nostalgic and new-on-the-scene acts broke attendance records this month with its most popular year yet.

Fi.Fest, a two-day, reliably packed-out family event returned to Fifield in Maidenhead on July 12 and 13, to more crowds, music, food and fun than ever before.

It comes after organisers took a leap in hugely expanding the festival’s reach this year, introducing camping and glamping and a pre-festival party on July 12.

Ticketholders of all ages came from near and far to have a song and dance with the legendary Heather Small, indie rock band Cast, and Eastenders’ star Shaun Williamson, who stopped off as part of his Barrioke tour.

A spokesperson for the organising committee described Fi.Fest 2024 as “fantastic from start to finish”.

They added: “We can’t think Fi.Festers enough for truly getting into the spirit and making the most of every second of a wonderful weekend.

“(The festival) gets bigger and better every year thanks to the support of our amazing communities, the incredible talent that perform for us and the hardworking team and traders who work their socks off to deliver the very best in festival experiences.”
