With the Sunny weather sweeping through the country and kids starting their Summer holidays, finding places to cool down is more important than ever.
From swimming pools to adventure centres, Berkshire has something for every age group and adventure level.
Although there are many across Berkshire, we have grouped together five of the most popular for you to choose from.
One thing we will say is many of these outdoor pools are by reservation only so get your reservations in asap if you don’t want to be disappointed.
Thames Lido
Named one of the best spots in the country for an outdoor dip, Thames Lido was opened in 2017 as a private venue for people looking for a relaxing swim.
The long-closed King’s Meadow Swimming pool was transformed into the open air bathing area with luxury spa facilities, pool bar and restaurant.
The 25m (24.68m for accuracy) outdoor swimming pool is heated throughout the year to a temperature designed to accommodate the dozens of guests that visit weekly.
If you do wish to take a dip, you better move quickly, as the lido is reservation only with limited spaces which book up well in advance.
Christchurch Meadows paddling pool
The Christchurch Meadow paddling pool is located in the beautiful green space in the heart of Caversham.
To celebrate its 100th birthday in Reading, the pool has been cleaned, resealed and painted in preparation for the warm weather.
It will reopen on Saturday, May 25, and fully staffed seven days a week.
On school holidays, the opening hours are from 10am to 6pm.
During term time, the opening hours are Monday to Friday (11am – 5pm) and Saturday and Sunday (10am – 6pm).
As well as the paddling pool, the large sandy area includes a wooden pirate ship area, a zip wire and another climbing frame with two slides.
