Police are appealing for witnesses after a man threatened to rape and hurt the victim whilst standing at a bus stop.
The incident occurred between 9:30am and 10am on Thursday, August 1 at a bus stop in Bishop’s Green village in West Berkshire.
The offender, who is described as white with a pale complexion, aged in his mid-forties, with dark brown hair, shaved on the sides and longer on top approached the teenager and attempted to touch her inappropriately.
Another man who was driving a blue Volkswagen Transporter van then pulled into the bus stop and shouted at the offender, saying he would call the police.
The offender then ran off in the direction of Greenham Business Park.
Investigating officer PC Jake Thain said: “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this or who may have dash-cam, doorbell or CCTV footage that may have captured the incident to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
“I would also like to speak to the man who stopped and challenged the offender’s behaviour.
