Berkshire motorways and carriageways have seen multiple delays over the last few months.
From smart motorway works to emergency repairs, drivers will come up against disruptions that will affect any journey time.
The most drastic of road closures on the M4 and M25 over the next week are around Reading and Slough noted by National Highways.
This includes:
Reading
• M4, from 8pm July 17 2023 to 6am August 8 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 11 to junction 8/9, Lane closures for major improvement work.
Slough
• M4, from 8pm July 8 to 6am August 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 6, slip road and lane closures for resurfacing work.
And a further seven closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M4, from 10pm August 5 to 6am September 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 5, Lane closures for construction work.
• M4, from 10pm August 7 to 5.30am August 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 5 to junction 4B, Lane closures for drainage works.
• M25, from 10pm August 7 to 5.30am August 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 Anticlockwise, junction 14 to junction Heathrow Terminal 5, Lane closure for drainage works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
