A hoard of travellers with around 20 caravans has set up camp in a small local park in Earley.
Carnival Fields, more commonly known as Kilnsea park off Kilnsea drive, is now being temporarily inhabited by the traveling community.
One member of the public said they saw over 20 caravans in the park which in turn is making it difficult for activities to take place on the events field.
Both the council and the police have been notified of the traveller's whereabouts.
Another member of the public has also warned dog walkers that they should keep their pets on leads as some of the traveller's animals seem to be aggressive.
