A new senior exercise class in Theale is helping residents stay fit and healthy at any age.
Launched last month at John Cumber Village Hall, the circuit training sessions have been specifically designed to support over 55s to stay active, with low intensity exercises that still provide a full-body workout.
The senior exercise classes are delivered by the team at Northcroft Leisure Centre. managed by Everyone Active in partnership with West Berkshire Council.
The sessions are already having a positive impact on those taking part, according to attendees.
Dawn Taylor, aged 74, said: “I’ve been coming to senior circuits since the physio signed me off after breaking my shoulder. I find the exercises really helpful, and I love the fact I get to work out with other people. It’s a great opportunity to socialise.
“The instructor, Callum, is very inspiring. The class is lively, entertaining and exercises my brain too."
The sessions take place at 10.30am every Wednesday and cost £3 per session.
