A man has been left with a bleed to the brain after he was assaulted in Friar Street following the Euro 2024 final - with police now releasing images of a group that officers believe has 'vital' information about the incident. 

At around 11.45pm on Sunday,  July 14th, the victim, a man in his thirties, was attacked in an unprovoked assault in the street running through the centre of Reading. 

During the assault he sustained a bleed to the brain and a cut to the forehead.

The victim was then taken to hospital for further treatment but has since been discharged.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Beth Daly, based at Reading police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who recognises the men pictured in these images to please get in touch.

“If you are one of the men pictured then please come forward as soon as possible as we believe you may have vital information about this incident.

“This incident occurred on a busy street in Reading following the Euro 2024 football final, so I am also appealing to anyone who may have any witness information, to also please get in touch.
