A fuel station and garage along one of the busiest roads in and out of Reading's town centre will remain closed for more than three weeks for improvement works.
The Esso Southcote Express petrol station in Bath Road, Reading, has been closed for weeks with building work taking place on its canopy and car park.
The garage is set to reopen in three weeks time, on Tuesday, September 10.
The construction project involves increasing the size of the canopy to enable greater clearance for tall vehicles such as lorries and HGVs.
The works also involve increasing the fuel capacity to 60,000 litres for both petrol and diesel and rearranging the car park.
The changes mean the fuel station will have 14 parking spaces, one disabled space, and a space reserved for people topping up air, water and screenwash.
But it also means that one of the existing disabled spaces has been removed.
The site is currently closed while contractors Artelia handle the construction.
The project was approved in February, with further details being agreed on by Reading Borough Council's planning department a month later.
The work means that the Tesco Express kiosk at the fuel station is also closed.
A sign states that the nearest Tesco Express garage is the fuel station in Church Street, Caversham.
However, there are also petrol stations at the Tesco Extra sites in Portman Road and Napier Road.
