A man of no fixed address is set to stand trial for murder next year following an attack outside Reading train station.
Ryan Basden, 26, of no fixed abode, has been charged with murder following the death of John Donovan, 60, from Tilehurst.
Mr Donovan died three weeks after the incident outside Reading train station, which took place at 8.45pm on July 20.
The 60-year-old was rushed to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where he died on August 11.
Now a hearing at Reading Crown Court has set the date for Mr Basden's plea hearing and his trial.
Mr Basden, wearing a grey sweatshirt, appeared before the court via video link from HMP Bullingdon.

Mr Basden will appear before the same court for a plea hearing on Monday, September 12.
The date for his trial at Reading Crown Court is set for Monday, February 3, 2025.
