From the overwhelming sight of hundreds of campers and thousands of festival goers to a deserted graveyard of forgotten tents, Reading Festival can change in the blink of an eye.
On Wednesday, August 21, the first of the music lovers arrived to pitch their tents at the site just off Richfield Avenue.
The green space on the edge of the Thames has been used for Reading Festival over the last two decades. Every year it is transformed into one of the biggest music events in the UK.
However, the spectacle from an aerial view of the festival changes dramatically from Friday night to Monday morning.
The multiple music tents and stages are removed leaving a dusty (and often times muddy) forgotten terrain with only memories left behind.
This year’s Reading Festival saw artists such as Blink 182, Fred Again…, Lana Del Ray and Liam Gallagher gracing the famous main stage.
Although the chaos left behind on site is shocking, many have said that this year is vastly better compared to previous events.
In 2022 festival goers left the site with remnants of burnt tents and ruined belongings after riots broke out in the camp sites.
