Rescue dogs and cats at leading animal welfare charity, Battersea, have kickstarted their own celebrations to show their support for Battersea’s Wear Blue for Rescue this September.
Canine and feline residents in the charity’s care had their very own ‘pawties’ at Battersea, adorned with blue-themed decorations and toys to mark a fun-filled month of championing rescue.
Throughout the day, the animals enjoyed plenty of games with blue paddling pools, toys and games, extra special treats and lots of fuss from the charity’s dedicated staff, all in the name of rescue.
Marvin, a loveable three-year-old Lurcher, was among the dogs enjoying the festivities and is looking for a home to call his own after spending more than 170 days in Battersea’s care.
As dogs primarily see in blue, the party was all the more special for Marvin and his canine friends, and he especially loved running around the garden with his fellow Lurcher friend Apple.
