Drivers out and about this weekend should be aware of multiple road closures which may add a few minutes to their journey times.

From the M4, the M25 and other A roads, a variety of road works are taking place.

Depending where you live or are planning to travel to and from, some areas are worse than others in regard to road works and closures.

Roads surrounding the Slough and East Berkshire area, are thought to be the worst affected when it comes to road works and closures this weekend.

Here are the closures, which are expected to cause delays of 10 to 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M4, from 8pm July 8 to 6am September 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4both directions, junction 6, slip road and lane closures for resurfacing work.

• M25, from 10pm September 13 to 5.30am September 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4B to M25 clockwise and Anticlockwise, junction 15, link road closures for structure works, diversion via National Highways roads.

According to National Highways, the Reading area isn’t expected to have a great number of closures and works happening over the next few days.

The only closure includes:

• M4, from 8pm July 17 2023 to 6am September 18 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 12 to junction 8/9, Lane closures for major improvement work.

Due to works by Thames Water and other utility companies, a variety of A roads surrounding Wokingham and Bracknell have also been closed this weekend to make way for repairs.
