A car transporter lorry has struck a railway bridge in central Reading, damaging several vehicles being carried by the lorry.
The lorry struck the bridge over Caversham Road, near Friar Street at 11.30am.
Two vehicles - a Fiat 500 and a Ford van - were damaged in the collision, with the lorry driver reporting that the Fiat 500 had fallen from the lorry in the incident.
Police attended the scene and closed one lane of Caversham Road, which has now reopened.
A Network Rail representative at the scene said the bridge appeared to be structurally safe and trains have continued to run without interruption.
