Reports have come in that traffic is at a standstill traveling down the M4 past Reading.
Drivers have been encouraged to avoid the area completely if possible, as there are currently severe delays from A4 to Bath Road to M4 Junction 12.
AA Live shows that cars are currently queuing up from M4 Junction 12 to Junction 11 past the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
Dozens are complaining on social media of lengthy queues, some saying that they have been sitting in jams for over 40 minutes.
