A brand-new bus, offering a fast service between Reading Station and Reading University, is set to make it’s first journey through the town today (21/9).
Reading Buses has dubbed the brand new service after the university’s campus – White Knight.
White Knight 20 will begin at central Reading before stopping at St Mary’s Butts, West Street, Reading Station and Market Place.
After its journey through Reading, it will continue a non-stop service to Christchurch Green and Whiteknights Campus.
With an average journey time of 10-15 minutes, this bus will run during the university academic year to help students travelling from town to the Reading whiteknights campus.
On weekdays, buses on white knight 20 will run up to every 10 minutes from 7.30am until 7pm and up to every 15 minutes during the day and at weekends.
On Friday and Saturday evenings (and on weeknights and Sundays until 25 October) buses will run until just before midnight.
The claret bus, will run alongside the new White Knight, providing a similar route 24 hours a day.
This is a perfect service for students who are planning a night out in town and wish to travel home safely.
