A DRIVER has been left distressed after their Jaguar car was stolen in broad daylight while filling up at a petrol station in Caversham.
A dog walker who helped the victim said the car was stolen by three males at the Esso Tesco Express fuel station in Church Street. It happened shortly before 3pm on Monday, September 23.
The resident said: "The man [driver] came into the petrol station while I was buying my meal deal. He had left his phone in the car, so I helped him by lending my phone so he could call the police."
Although the dog walker did not see the theft take place, he said the black Jaguar XF was stolen by three men described as two Asian males and a white male.
Thames Valley Police officers have begun an investigation which involves looking at the CCTV at the fuel station.
Anyone who is able to assist the police in the investigation has been asked to get in contact.
A police spokesperson said: "Thames Valley Police received a report of the theft of a vehicle on Church Street, Caversham at around 2.47pm on Monday (23/9).
"The stolen vehicle is a black-coloured Jaguar XF.
