Woodley Town Council has been promoting a very special event in the area that looks to encourage people to make a difference in the local community.
A spokesperson for the council recently released a statement asking those in the area who are committed to helping others to come forward and attend Wokingham Volunteer Centre's Volunteer Recruitment Fair.
The fair is set up to encourage people to take part in volunteering activities in the community.
Those inclined can join and speak to the variety of different organisations which need support from local people this winter and beyond.
The spokesperson said the following: "Volunteer and make a difference in YOUR community
"Drop in to Wokingham Volunteer Centre's Volunteer Recruitment Fair to meet with organisations which need support from local people this winter and beyond
"Saturday October 5 from 10am to 1pm at Wokingham Town Hall."
No booking needed, just drop in to find out more.
