A winter clothing company has been blasted by a customer in Reading who said it botched a return he was entitled to by warranty.

The customer Darren Hodgson had bought a jacket from Canada Goose, a well-known winter clothing company, and subsequently returned it as he was entitled to.

But he expressed dismay that the company initially failed to send a replacement jacket to him.

Mr Hodgson said: "They've basically robbed me and even laughed at me on a call.

"I sent a jacket in to their warranty department but I never got my jacket back and I never got a refund for the service I did not receive.

"They simply refuse to refund me I've called them over 240 times and sent over 100 emails.

"I've been laughed at on a call I've had agents just put the phone down."

According to Mr Hodgson, package handling company DHL provided proof that Canada Goose sent the replacement jacket to the wrong location.

He added: "Canada Goose are fully aware I didn't get anything I've never come across a company so so bad in my whole life."

Mr Hodgson's complaint was lodged with the clothing company, which replied that the issue has since been resolved.

A spokesperson for Canada Goose said: "We are very sorry to hear about Darren’s experience. We take pride in our warranty program, which covers defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of our products.

"Our team has been in touch with Darren and understand the situation has been resolved to his satisfaction."
