A man has been jailed for supplying heroin and cocaine across Reading.
Telmo Vaz, aged 29, of no fixed abode, had pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply heroin and cocaine in a hearing at Reading Crown Court.
He was subsequently sentenced to four years and one month in prison.
On 25 July this year, Vaz was under investigation by police for the supply of class A drugs and officers conducted a warrant on Portman Way.
During the search, officers recovered a large quantity of class A drugs. Cash, mobile phones and drugs paraphernalia were also seized.
Vaz was arrested the same day and charged the following day.
He has now been sentenced to four years and one month in prison.
Investigating officer PC Chris Weedon, based at Reading police station, said: “The supply of class A drugs is a scourge in our communities and I am pleased that we have managed to bring Vaz to justice and remove his drugs from the streets.
“We will never tire at tackling the supply of drugs in the Thames Valley, and will always seek to bring offenders before the courts.
