Drivers are once again reminded to steer clear if possible from major commuting roads that are currently undergoing extensive work on the M4 and M25.

Planned overnight closures will continue this week on the M4 which could cause severe delays for some motorists. 

This includes lane closures due to improvement works and technology works on carriageways.

The planned list for this weekend is as follows:

Friday, October 4

M4 Eastbound - Junction 12 to Junction 8/9 from 8pm to 6am. Slight delays and lane closures for major improvement work.

M4 Eastbound and Westbound – Junction 12 to junction 12. 24/7 lane closures for major improvement work. Slight delays.

M25 clockwise - junction 15 to M4 westbound, junction 4B. 12am – 5. Moderate delays (10-30 minutes). Link road closure for lighting column works, diversion via National Highways roads.

Saturday, October 5

M4 Eastbound - Junction 12 to Junction 8/9 from 8pm to 6am. Slight delays and lane closures for major improvement work.

M4 Eastbound and Westbound – Junction 12 to junction 12. 24/7 lane closures for major improvement work. Slight delays.

Sunday, October 6
