Oxford Road will be shut between Bedford Road and Prospect Street today (October 4), till the end of the day on Saturday, October 5 to complete the new bus lane being built.
While Oxford Road services will be rerouted, inbound services like 15,15a,16,17, 43, 85, 88 ,91 & 93, will veer after George Street via Bedford, Chatham & Friar Streets.
Outbound journeys on the same services will divert via St Marys Butts, Castle Hill, Tilehurst Road & Western Elms Avenue, then back to their normal route from Beresford Road bus stop on Oxford Road.
The closure is bound to impact routes such as sky blue 15,16; purple 17; azure 43; and routes 85,88,91 & 93.
Stops at George Street and Reading West Rail Station, W-bound are among those affected.
Reading Buses has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
