Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses after three people broke into a house in Woodley as their victims slept.
The incident occurred at around 4:45am on Saturday, October 5 at a property in Selsdon Avenue, Woodley.
The offenders smashed a window and attempted to gain access into the house.
The victim and her partner were quickly awoken by the breaking of glass in the early hours during this frightening ordeal.
A review of CCTV in the area shows that the aggravated burglary was committed by three offenders who were seen to be attempting to raid the house as the owners slept.
The victim, a woman aged in her thirties, was not injured and no property was stolen.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Stephen Major of the Priority Crime Team, said: “This was a frightening ordeal for the victim and her partner, though thankfully neither were injured and no property appears to have been stolen.
“There is limited information available, but I would appeal to anybody who was in the area of Selsdon Avenue between around 4.30am and 5am on Saturday morning who believes that they may have witnessed any suspicious activity to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.”
“I would also ask anybody who may have dash-cam, CCTV or doorbell footage, to please check this at around the times mentioned and contact us if it has captured anything that may assist this investigation.
