A neighbourhood bar and kitchen in Caversham could stay open past midnight if plans for extended operations get the go-ahead.
The Alto Lounge is a chain bar and kitchen which serves up brunches, mains, sandwiches and salads, as well as a range of beers, wines, cocktails and spirits.
The bar and kitchen could stay open longer if an application for extended activities is granted.
The operators have applied to sell alcohol from 10am to midnight each night, and continue serving food and soft drinks until 12.30am at night as well.
Operationally, a Loungers spokesperson clarified that alcohol service would typically begin at 12pm each day.
For these sales to go ahead, the operators require an updated premises licence from Reading Borough Council.
A statutory consultation into the application has begun. You can comment on it by emailing licensing@reading.gov.uk.
The deadline for representations is Friday, November 1.
The Lounge brand has a presence in many of the towns in Berkshire.
Other sites include the Bosco Lounge in Woodley, Sedero Lounge in Wokingham and the Cobrizo Lounge in Newbury.
