Reading is expected to experience a busy weekend both during the day and in the evening with people being advised to plan ahead of time if travelling into the town or on the M4 carriageway.
During the essential bridge works in the Theale interchange, there are road closures being put in place on the westbound between 9pm on Friday, October 11 and 6am on Monday, October 14 (all weekend).
This means that drivers will have no access into Reading town centre from the junction this weekend.
Another route into the town from Theale will need to be planned before departure.
If you are traveling at night, there will be a few closures of the M4 in Reading causing slight delays of under 10 minutes
This includes:
M4 eastbound – junction 12 to junction 8/9. The lane closures are for major improvement works.
M4 both directions – junction 12 to junction 10. A 24 hour lane closure for major improvement works.
