Dozens of people have stopped to snap pictures with the new Paddington Bear statue on Reading Broad Street.
The statue appeared on a bench outside Waterstones in Reading town centre this week to the amazement of residents and visitors.
This is only one of two statues placed in Berkshire among the UK trail across the UK and Ireland.
23 statues of Paddington Bear have been placed in different towns and cities ahead of the new film, Paddington in Peru, set for cinemas on November 8.
Our readers posted their snap shots of them with Paddington Bear in Reading on our facebook.
Reader, Hanna Bickham said: “Honestly, this is the most wonderful thing that has united so many people from all over the UK in different towns.
“To take memorable photos & make it a mission to do so.
“Absolutely wonderful & I personally love seeing so many people making taking their snapshots & what a fabulous marketing idea it has been.”
