A brand-new cafe is gearing up to open soon in the heart of Woodley along with a number of other new businesses.
Woodley Cafe, situated at 303 Loddon Bridge Road, is allegedly going to be welcoming customers in from next week.
The new cafe has taken the place of a local news agents which was regularly visited by people who lived in the area.
The Wine Rack, which sold alcohol, snacks, and newspapers, previously permanently closed, and now the new establishment Woodley Cafe occupies the precinct.
Ahead of its grand opening, the building now boasts a new swanky red and white sign with bold lettering that reads 'Woodley Cafe.'
A further watermark sign to the left of the large lettering also reads 'Woodley Cafe - Best Coffee in Town.'
Among other options of soft drinks, hot drinks, and an assortment of hot and cold foods, Woodley Cafe will be selling sandwiches, hot dogs, and bakery items.
Talking directly to the owner of Berkshire Village Farm Shop, which will be welcoming customers from Friday, October 18, Andy De Beer said he thinks the cafe will be a great addition to the array of businesses on Loddon Bridge Road.
"We have this lovely little cafe next door and then our landlord is also opening up a Morrisons just over from us," Mr De Beer said.
"There's also going to be a barber shop next to that so a lot of stuff is happening. It's all going to be very different from what you usually see in the town."
Despite not having spoken to the cafe owners himself, Mr De Beer said that their opening will likely be next week, although this has not been confirmed.
He said that he has also had a peek at the menu items on offer at the new cafe and feels that they are both reasonably priced and have a good range of eats and drinks.
"Looking at the menu myself I do feel that it is all very reasonably priced and it looks like there is going to be a beautiful set up inside for people to visit," he continued.
"We are very excited about all the things that are happening around here and are all very much looking forward to welcoming customers to see all the things we have been working on."
