Local family officially open Reading’s newest indoor activity park with trampolines, wipeout arena and brand new Gauntlet Run

Oxygen Reading officially opened its doors on October 4 after undergoing an extensive six-week refurbishment. 

The new park has taken the place of the former Red Kangaroo. 

The Atkinson Family has been visiting the park, which was previously named RedKangaroo Reading, since the park opened in 2017.

They were invited to be the first to bounce on the new trampolines at Oxygen Reading, and cut the ribbon to officially open the park to the public. 

Park Manager Sean Bruce said that they are expecting the park to be at its busiest during the winter months, so encourage members of the public to book ahead online to ensure a spot. 

"When it gets all dark and cold outside that is our busiest time," Mr Bruce said. 

The state-of-the-art activity park is home to thirty-two trampolines,  parkour-style stunt areas, a wipe-out arena, and a trapeze with a mega air-bag.

The fun starts right at the front door, as jumpers start their session in Oxygen’s signature Excite Tunnel.

Brand new activities include the Gauntlet Run, an obstacle course, where guests can compete in a series of challenges in a race against the clock.

The new Toddler Zone, features trampettes (mini trampolines), a mini airbag, an obstacle course and a ball pit, to ensure smaller jumpers don’t miss out on any of the fun.

Guests can try their hand at Basket Battle, Hotshot and more games based on sports such as basketball and football, on the state-of-the-art interactive sports pitch.

After all that big-time fun, bouncers can refuel at the upgraded on-site cafe for drinks, snacks or a delicious meal.

The cafe includes a mezzanine level, overlooking the park, so parents can also enjoy a coffee while keeping an eye on their children.

Oxygen Reading also hosts twice-weekly Peaceful Play sessions, designed for neurodivergent guests, who prefer a calmer, quieter playing environment.

Daily Toddler Activeplay sessions allow little jumpers to have full reign of the park, while Oxygen Reading’s team runs optional sensory games, to support the toddler’s development.

An ideal place for parties, Oxygen Reading offers several packages to help birthday bouncers celebrate in style, with each package including an Activeplay session, a dedicated party host and a selection of food and drinks.
