A drama group is set to perform a world-premiere pantomime in the new year.
Twyford Drama is preparing for its annual pantomime, this time presenting a new show titled 'Buttons’ Dream'.
The play, which features traditional pantomime elements mixed with modern-day flair, is set to be performed in January.
The production follows Twyford Drama's recent autumn show, 'Entertaining Angels'.
'Buttons’ Dream' tells the story of Buttons, whose bad dream puts Pantoland in peril, leading to a plot filled with familiar pantomime characters, comedy, music, and the group’s signature style.
The show was created by Twyford Drama’s Emma Cianchi, who will also direct the pantomime.
Ms Cianchi co-directed the group’s 2020 production of 'The Jungle Book'.
She has been involved in several past Twyford pantomimes, and her experience is expected to bring a fresh, fun-filled narrative to the stage.
The show will have premiere on January 17, 2025, with performances scheduled for 7.45pm on the opening night, 2pm and 7pm on January 18, and a final show at 2pm on January 19.
Tickets for 'Buttons’ Dream' can be purchased online.
