The last session of 2024 for a popular jazz band promises to be a memorable affair.
Graeme Hewitt, the 85-year-old leader of the High Society Jazz Band for over 50 years, is preparing for a festive celebration on December 3rd at Theale Village Hall, 12-2pm.
The event will feature guest appearances by Ben Cummings and his wife, singer Lizzie Newberry, who were well-received on their last visit in September.
In a special treat for loyal fans, Hewitt is also reuniting his marching band, which was awarded 'Best Band' at a jazz festival in Holland.
The audience is encouraged to bring parasols to form the 'Second Line', a New Orleans tradition, as they follow the musicians around the hall and into the car park.
Tickets are £10 at the door with a free raffle.
