A Reading community group has gifted officers from Thames Valley Police with a small bag of kindness rocks as a touching tribute to PC Andrew Harper.

Reading Kindness Rocks is a group that paints rocks to 'hide' all over Reading and beyond to spread joy and brighten people's day.

They encourage people who find the rocks hidden in plain sight to re-hide them somewhere else or create new rocks themselves.

This community-building project is aimed to inspire creativity and energize people to explore the area.

Officers from across Reading, PC Allen and PC Daly were pleased to find the selection of painted rocks alongside a thoughtful note when they returned to their car on Monday, October 21.

At the time, they were attending an incident at Ikea in Calcot.

They posted pictures of this thoughtful gift on Facebook saying: “Reading Kindness Rocks had left a small bag of kindness rocks all dedicated to something different. It also included a touching tribute to PC Andrew Harper.

“Thank you to the kind person/people who left these on top of the car, it was lovely to come back to!”
