A new Toys 'R' Us shop-in-shop will open in Newbury next month.

The new addition to the WHSmith store will open on Saturday, November 2, with a grand opening event.

The first 50 children to attend the opening will receive a free goody bag worth more than £15.

Geoffrey the Giraffe will join the WHSmith team for an official ribbon cutting when the store opens at 8.30am, before greeting visitors throughout the morning.

A lifesize Geoffrey the Giraffe sculpture will also be present for photo opportunities.

The new Toys 'R' Us section will feature a range of products from top toy brands, including Barbie, Bluey, Hot Wheels, Lego, Marvel, Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig, Squishmallows, and Star Wars.

Children will be able to access these products and play hands-on with their favourite toys at the in-store demonstration tables.

Ian Sanders, group commercial development director, WHSmith, said: "We’re really excited to be opening Toys 'R' Us in Newbury.

"WHSmith is known for being the hub of the high street by providing customers with a range of great products and services.

"Partnering with Toys "R" Us gives us a leading toys and games range in our stores and means customers have even more reasons to shop with us."

Newbury is among 37 WHSmith High Street stores set to open a new shop-in-shop from Toys 'R'Us before Christmas.
