There are concerns that a road in Reading was being targeted for car thefts this week.
Posting online, a woman claims that her car parked in Staverton Road was searched on Monday night (October 21) by someone reportedly looking for money.
She wrote: “Someone was in my car last night looking for money…watch out.”

Others commented that other roads were reportedly targeted in the area including Birdhill Avenue and roads in Caversham.
One woman commented: “Mine was targeted on Staverton Road as well, one bloke on his own.”
Another added: “They are all about, they were in Caversham a week ago, lots of cars were.”
It allegedly took place late at night, after 11pm. Residents have now been urged to stay vigilant.
