A charity that supports bereaved children has received a share of a £1 million fund.
Daisy's Dream, based in Reading, has been given a £1,000 boost from the Benefact Group's Movement for Good Awards.
The charity provides support to children and young people in Berkshire who have experienced bereavement or are preparing for loss.
The £1,000 donation will help the charity continue its work, including helping people communicate about their experiences, developing coping strategies, and reducing feelings of isolation.
Vicky Maunder, fundraising manager at Daisy’s Dream, said: "As a small, local charity, we are thrilled to receive this Movement for Good grant which will make an enormous difference to the children we support.
"For example, it could give three children the time and space to understand what has happened and explore their grief over an extended timeframe by providing six one-to-one therapeutic sessions for each child.
"Or it could provide the opportunity for bereaved children to reduce their sense of isolation by connecting, sharing memories of their loved one and having fun at a group event."
The Movement for Good Awards, now in their sixth year, are giving away more than £1 million to charities across the year, with members of the public invited to nominate causes close to their hearts.
Daisy's Dream is one of three Berkshire charities to receive a £1,000 donation, alongside The CiaO Foundation in Windsor and Wokingham in Need.
Mark Hews, group chief executive at Benefact Group, said: "We would like to thank every single person who took the time to nominate a good cause as part of our Movement for Good Awards.
"Benefact Group is a family of award-winning specialist financial services companies and the third largest corporate donor to charity in the UK.
"Owned by a charity ourselves, charitable giving is at the heart of what we do.
"All of our available profits go to good causes and the more the group grows, the more the group can give.
"We are delighted to be able to donate over £1 million to good causes each year through our Movement for Good Awards and are grateful to all our supporters, including the customers of the trusted insurer, Ecclesiastical, and the responsible and sustainable asset manager, EdenTree.
"We know that £1,000 can make a huge difference to the incredible work that charities do and we’re looking forward to seeing how this financial boost will change lives for the better."
The Benefact Group has donated more than £200 million to charitable causes since 2014 and last year was recognised as the third biggest corporate giver in the UK.
