It was a busy week for police officers in Bracknell and Wokingham as they discovered a cannabis farm, weapons, speedsters and more in the region.
In a lengthy Facebook post that was published on October 24, they also explained that they dealt with issues of anti-social behaviour, as well as giving out talks to schools and businesses.
One incident occurred in Sonning as they discovered and seized a cannabis factory in a residential property.
A man was arrested at the scene.
Around the same time, two firearms were taken from a person after it was revealed they did not have a license.
Thames Valley Police said that ‘they have been retained for examination, pending further enquiries.’
Numerous residents in Earley, Lower Earley and Winnersh requested that officers conduct speed checks after several concerns.
Upon arriving in each of the three locations, motorists were caught going over the limit, but instead of issuing fines and penalties, the force said it was their ‘intention to educate.’
A PCSO, alongside Trading Standards, attended a call where there was an indication that fraudsters were trying to take advantage of a ‘vulnerable’ person.
The victim received help and didn’t lose any money.
This was called to Thames Valley Police directly from the bank in question.
Finally, calls were made to the force after reports of regarding anti-social behaviours arising from groups in Vauxhall Park, Woodley.
The police’s attendance allowed for an identification.
The group quickly disbursed from the area.
A spokesperson from Thames Valley Police said: “We really appreciate any and all engagements you have with us during our shifts and we look forward to the next set.
