New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to four of Reading’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.
The following ratings have been given to two restaurants, cafes or canteens:
• Rated 5: Osaka at the Oracle at Bridge Street, Reading; rated on October 7
• Rated 5: Pret A Manger at 211 Shinfield Road, Reading; rated on September 19

And two ratings have been handed to takeaways:
• Rated 5: Black Sheep Coffee at 1-3 Queen Victoria Street, Reading; rated on October 15
• Rated 5: CakeCo at 1-9 Kings Road, Reading; rated on September 22
The scheme gives businesses a rating which is displayed at their premises and online.
