Drivers in and around Reading will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M4, from 8pm July 17 2023 to 6am November 30 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 12 to junction 8/9, Lane closures for major improvement work.

• M4, from 11pm May 9 2024 to 6am March 31 2025, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 both directions, junction 12 to junction 10, 24/7 lane closures for major improvement work.

And one more closure will begin over the next two weeks:

• M4, from 9pm November 11 to 6am November 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 11, Lane closure for resurfacing work.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
