Eleven community projects have been awarded a share of £500,000.
West Berkshire Council has allocated the money to the projects as part of the latest round of funding from their Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).
This money is derived from charges on new developments and is intended for infrastructure improvements.
The council invited communities to bid for a portion of this income in July.
West Berkshire's executive member for finance and resources, councillor Iain Cottingham, said: "We had a brilliant response to our latest round of grants for local infrastructure and are delighted to announce that we’ve been able to offer funding to support eleven great projects around the district.
"It’s very exciting to be investing £500,000 in our communities and to see that all the projects we’re supporting via the CIL funding will have a tangible, positive impact for many local people."
The CIL funding is used to pay for new infrastructure, supporting the development of an area by funding the provision, replacement, operation or maintenance of infrastructure.
Areas that have been reciepents of the funding so far include; Bucklebury Memorial Hall, Burghfield Parish Council, Trustees of East Garston Village Hall, Holybrook Parish Council, Town and Manor of Hungerford, Croft Hall Charity Trustees, Gladstone Memorial Recreation Ground Trust, Corn Exchange Trust, Pangbourne Parish Council, and Tilehurst Parish Council.
