A Tilehurst Townswomen’s Guild member was recognised for 50 years of service.
Sylvia Willis was presented with the certificate by Margaret Miles, the Berkshire Federation President, following a talk on the history of Hampton Court.
The event, which took place at the guild's October meeting, turned into a surprise celebration with wine and a special iced cake.
Mrs Willis, aware of her anniversary, was reportedly taken by surprise by the arranged presentation.
The Guild Secretary, Pam Atkins, expressed hope that Mrs Willis enjoyed the occasion.
The ceremony acknowledged Sylvia's long-standing dedication to the guild, marking a significant milestone in her membership.
The Tilehurst Heights Townswomen's Guild is part of a nationwide network that aims to bring women together and provide opportunities for learning and community service.
