New Directions College, Reading's adult community college, has formed a partnership with Cedar Court, one of the council's sheltered housing schemes.
This initiative allows students to put into practice the skills they have learned in the classroom in a working environment.
The students will be involved in weekly sessions, taking on various roles such as food preparation, service, customer interaction, and teamwork.
