The family of murdered teenager Olly Stephen is holding a memorial walk in Reading to mark his 17th birthday.
Olly Stephens was 13 when he was fatally stabbed in Emmer Green, Reading, on January 3, 2021.
His family are to honour his birthday today by leading a fundraising walk from St Barnabas Church, in Grove Road, Emmer Green, at 2pm.
Family and friends of the teenager and members of the community will walk from the church to Bugs Bottom, where Olly died, and then on to a mural at his former school.
A raffle will be drawn at 4pm, with donations going to three charities - Parenting Special Children, children's mental health group No. 5, and the anti-knife crime group Ben Kinsella Trust.
Refreshments will be available following the work, according to Olly's mum, Amanda Stephens has said in a statement.
She added: "Wear a bit of red if possible and let's have some fun, as Olly would have loved and make some money for the wonderful chosen charities.
"There will be donation buckets and we now even have a card reader.
"Thank you all so much, we have done this together and that means the world."
In 2021 a trial at Reading Crown Court heard how Olly had been lured to Bugs Bottom Field near his home by a girl he knew, following a dispute on social media.
Olly was "ambushed" by two boys, one of whom was sentenced to 13 years for murder, while the other was jailed for 12 years.
The girl, who was 13 at the time, admitted manslaughter and was sentenced to three years and two months - but the Court of Appeal later increased this sentence to five years.
None of those convicted can be identified for legal reasons.
